Maintenance Coordinator Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled General Maintenance Worker to perform essential upkeep and repair tasks for our facilities. The ideal candidate will be a versatile and self-motivated problem-solver with solid technical knowledge and a keen eye for detail. This role requires physical stamina and dexterity to handle a wide variety of tasks and ensure our properties remain safe, functional, and well-maintained.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and grounds to identify maintenance needs, potential issues, or hazards.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues that do not require a licensed specialist.
  • Execute a variety of minor repairs, including fixing broken locks, gates, replacing light bulbs, patching drywall, repairing furniture, cleaning, trash removal, painting, and other issues as they arise.
  • Assist with the setup and assembly of equipment and furniture.
  • Maintain the facility's exterior, including basic groundskeeping beyond our regular service, and trash collection as needed.
  • Order and manage inventory of parts, tools, and supplies.
  • Maintain orderly supply closets and maintenance work spaces.
  • Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
  • Collaborate with team members and coordinate with external contractors for more complex repairs or renovations.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Clean tools, equipment, and work areas after completing a task.
Qualifications
  • Education:High school diploma or equivalent is required. Vocational training or certification in a maintenance-related field (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing) is a plus.
  • Experience:Proven experience as a maintenance worker or in a similar position, preferably in a corporate, residential, or commercial setting.
  • Skills:
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems for trouble shooting purposes.
  • Proficiency with a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities to prioritize work orders.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions, technical manuals and blueprints.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical Stamina:The ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, pulling, pushing, climbing ladders, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Other:
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record may be required.
  • Must be reliable and able to respond promptly to emergency requests.
