Maintenance Coordinator Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled General Maintenance Worker to perform essential upkeep and repair tasks for our facilities. The ideal candidate will be a versatile and self-motivated problem-solver with solid technical knowledge and a keen eye for detail. This role requires physical stamina and dexterity to handle a wide variety of tasks and ensure our properties remain safe, functional, and well-maintained.
Responsibilities- Conduct routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and grounds to identify maintenance needs, potential issues, or hazards.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues that do not require a licensed specialist.
- Execute a variety of minor repairs, including fixing broken locks, gates, replacing light bulbs, patching drywall, repairing furniture, cleaning, trash removal, painting, and other issues as they arise.
- Assist with the setup and assembly of equipment and furniture.
- Maintain the facility's exterior, including basic groundskeeping beyond our regular service, and trash collection as needed.
- Order and manage inventory of parts, tools, and supplies.
- Maintain orderly supply closets and maintenance work spaces.
- Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Collaborate with team members and coordinate with external contractors for more complex repairs or renovations.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Clean tools, equipment, and work areas after completing a task.
- Education:High school diploma or equivalent is required. Vocational training or certification in a maintenance-related field (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing) is a plus.
- Experience:Proven experience as a maintenance worker or in a similar position, preferably in a corporate, residential, or commercial setting.
- Skills:
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems for trouble shooting purposes.
- Proficiency with a variety of hand and power tools.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities to prioritize work orders.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions, technical manuals and blueprints.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical Stamina:The ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, pulling, pushing, climbing ladders, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
- Other:
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record may be required.
- Must be reliable and able to respond promptly to emergency requests.
