* Job Description:

** The Estimator is responsible for utilizing residential blueprints to complete load calculations, duct designs and material takeoffs to determine labor and material required to complete HVAC installations for residential new construction homes.
** Essential Duties/Responsibilities :
*** Interprets blueprints and CAD drawings to create HVAC load calculations and designs.
* Estimates the amount of materials and cost of labor to complete the installation of HVAC systems in new residential homes.
* Communicates with other estimators, lead estimators, managers, and sales staff.
* Returns all necessary information back to the assigned division in a timely manner to continue with the bid process.
* Communicates all internal issues or questions to the Lead Estimator or Estimating Manager.
* Ability to forecast the needs of materials per each blueprint.
* Follows all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to safety.
* Ongoing training to provide better support to the rest of the team.

* Minimum Requirements:

*** High School Diploma or GED.
* Ability to read and interpret architectural blueprints.
* Ability to learn new software efficiently.
* General computer competency is required.
* Must be able to communicate in English effectively, both verbally and in writing.
* Ability to work overtime with little notice*;
* weekends hours may occasionally be required.

* Preferred Qualifications:

*** Associate degree or higher.
* Possess basic CAD skills

* Ability to enter text or data into a computer by means of a traditional keyboard or 10-key numeric keypad.
