Concrete Finisher

Description

The Concrete Finisher is responsible for the safe, precise, and high-quality placement and finishing of concrete on commercial and/or industrial construction projects. This role requires demonstrated field experience, full proficiency with finishing tools and equipment, and a strong commitment to craftsmanship and job site safety. The Concrete Finisher works under the direction of the Crew Chief and is expected to perform as a reliable and skilled member of the crew.

• Place, spread, level, and finish concrete to specified grade and finish requirements
• Operate and maintain all standard concrete finishing tools and equipment (trowels, floats, concrete vibrators, etc.)
• Power trowels (walk-behind and ride-on)
• Set, align, and verify forms for proper depth and pitch
• Monitor and manage concrete curing processes to ensure strength and durability
• Apply surface finishes such as broom, smooth, trowel, and specialty textures
• Patch, repair, and waterproof existing concrete surfaces
• Maintain strict compliance with all company safety policies and OSHA standards
• Identify and correct potential safety hazards immediately
• Maintain high workmanship standards to ensure quality control and customer satisfaction
• Assist with material handling, site preparation, and clean-up as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Crew Chief

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid Driver’s License preferred
• Minimum 2–3 years of verifiable concrete finishing experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to independently complete finishing tasks to specification
• Full working knowledge of all concrete finishing tools and equipment
• Strong understanding of concrete placement techniques, curing methods, and surface treatments
• Commitment to safety guidelines and a strong work ethic
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
• Frequent standing, kneeling, bending, climbing, and crawling
• Ability to work on ladders, platforms, and mechanical lifts
• Capable of performing repetitive physical tasks for an extended period

• MUST be eligible to work in the U.S.
• MUST be capable of completing Job Specific Physical
• MUST be able to pass a drug test

Work is performed primarily on active construction sites and may include exposure to:

• Extreme hot and cold temperatures
• Loud noise from heavy equipment
• Areas near traffic
• Heights and confined spaces
• Indoor and outdoor environments
• Exposure to dust and mud
• Must wear personal protective equipment
