From now on
We're seeking a mobile, self‑starting Field Service Technician to support customers throughout North America. This Field Service Technician role focuses on repairs, installations and customer training across the United States, Canada and Mexico while providing on‑site technical leadership and maintaining close collaboration with our engineering team in Germany.
Field Service Technician Responsibilities:- Perform installations, emergency repairs, preventative maintenance and retrofits across assigned territories in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
- Lead operator and maintenance training at customer sites.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical and software issues and implement durable solutions with minimal supervision.
- Submit detailed service reports, photos, videos and parts requests following each customer visit.
- Maintain on‑vehicle spare parts inventory, track usage and coordinate replenishment through the ERP system.
- Work effectively with customers and colleagues across different time zones and international locations.
- 3+ years of field service experience with industrial equipment, systems integration or mechanical/electrical maintenance.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently in the field.
- Experience using standard mechanical and electrical tools and performing repairs.
- Comfortable travelling extensively (50–75%) throughout North America.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Excellent communication skills in English;
Spanish language skills are an advantage. - Comfortable documenting technical issues with photos and short troubleshooting videos for remote engineering support.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally.
- Access to a major airport is an advantage.
- Experience with cross‑border service activities and familiarity with customs and shipping documentation is advantageous.
- Experience with PLCs, labeling software and networking fundamentals is an advantage.
