Fire Sprinkler Systems Inspector
COSCO Fire Protection is a multifaceted, full service fire sprinkler and life safety systems company specializing in the installation, service and inspection of a wide variety of automatic fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm (life safety systems), kitchen suppression, extinguishers and special hazard systems throughout the Country.
COSCO Fire Protection is currently expanding our service operations throughout all of our district locations and offers tremendous opportunities to those service minded individuals in the fire protection/life safety marketplace.
JOB DESCRIPTION:- Provide reliable, excellent quality customer support through on-site inspecting and preventative maintenance services on fire sprinkler systems
- Perform routine inspections, testing and preventive maintenance of fire sprinkler systems and fire pumps with minimal supervision
- Front line customer service and care
- Perform hydrostatic testing
- Diagnose and evaluate systems that require servicing as well as troubleshoot issues that arise during inspections
- Provide solutions and/or recommendations to bring systems back in operating working condition in the most beneficial way for the customer.
- 3 - 4 years previous work experience as fire sprinkler inspector or similar trade within the fire protection industry
- Must be able to read blueprints, diagrams, operation/product manuals, schematics, software/system programs, specifications and/or submittals
- Be proficient in completing accurate and legible paperwork, which can be interpreted by others
- Extensive knowledge of wet, dry, and pre-action sprinkler systems
- Extensive knowledge of back flow and fire pump testing
- Knowledge in Fire Pump installation and repair
- Ability to work in small and confined spaces (if needed)
- Basic skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Capable of performing physical labor, able to climb ladders and work on rooftops
- Knowledge and understanding of NFPA standards.
- Must be able to work alternate shifts and work overtime (if required)
- Must be punctual, have excellent work ethics and strong organizational skills
- High School graduate or GED
- Driver's License with clean DMV record
- NICET Level II or higher is a plus
