State Utility Contractors is seeking an experienced Crane Operator to join our heavy civil construction team. The successful candidate must be NCCCO certified and have experience operating 65-ton rough terrain telescopic hydraulic cranes and 80-150 ton crawler-type lattice boom Link-Belt cranes.
Responsibilities
- Inspect the worksite and crane prior to daily operation
- Safely operate cranes in the 65-150 ton capacity range
- Hoist and transport machinery, equipment, concrete, piping, and other construction materials
- Fly 3-cubic-yard concrete buckets to crews working on walls and elevated deck slabs
- Properly receive and respond to standard crane hand signals
- Monitor equipment for safety concerns, defects, and mechanical issues
- Perform required daily and monthly crane inspections
- Work closely with field crews, foremen, and superintendents to safely complete lifting operations
- Follow all company and jobsite safety requirements
Requirements
- Previous crane operating experience
- Experience operating rough terrain and crawler-type cranes preferred
- Valid driver's license
- Strong understanding of safe crane operation and jobsite safety
- Good eyesight, coordination, dexterity, and balance
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and construction conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Willingness to properly operate, inspect, and maintain equipment
