Job Overview:
Primoris T&D is seeking an experienced Overhead Distribution Foreman to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This position is responsible for supervising field crews performing the construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead electrical distribution systems while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to company and customer standards.

Job Responsibilities
  • Supervise, direct, and coordinate the activities of a crew involved in overhead electrical distribution line construction, maintenance, and repair.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Plan and organize daily work activities, including scheduling personnel, equipment, and materials.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to ensure accurate and compliant execution of tasks.
  • Conduct daily safety briefings and job hazard analyses; implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Train and mentor crew members on proper work procedures, safety practices, and equipment operation.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of utility equipment, including bucket trucks, digger derricks, and other heavy machinery.
  • Perform hands‑on work as required, including climbing poles, installing and repairing conductors, transformers, and other line equipment.
  • Inspect work in progress and completed projects to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and crew hours.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Respond to emergency call‑outs and outages as needed.
Job Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized Lineman apprenticeship program preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Overhead Distribution Journeyman Lineman.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a Foreman or supervisory role in overhead distribution.
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical distribution systems, construction methods, and safety regulations (OSHA, NESC).
  • Proficiency in operating various utility equipment, including bucket trucks, digger derricks, and other heavy machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing poles and lifting heavy objects.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as required, including emergency response.
  • OSHA 10 or 30‑hour certification preferred.
  • First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
