Industrial Maintenance Technician (Electro-Mechanic)

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Maintenance Technician (Electro-Mechanic) to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electromechanical systems and industrial high-speed labeling machines at our multiple customer facilities for assigned service territory.
Must be willing and able to work safely and effectively with little to no direct supervision as well as travel daily from home to customer sites in a company vehicle with approximately 1-2 weeks per quarter of multi-day overnight travel.
What you’ll do:
- Perform installations, overhauls, predictive & preventative maintenance, and engineering updates, on high speed automated food labeling equipment at customer plants/facilities.
- Provide technical support as well as training to customers/customer’s employees at customer plants/facilities.
- Monitor and maintain spare parts inventories at customer plants/facilities as well as in Company service vehicle ensuring adequate on-hand inventory levels to support customers processing needs while adhering to budget.
- Adhere to established safety and compliance standards.
- Maintain equipment service/maintenance records and document equipment configurations.
- Monitor customer product inventories and communicate customer requirements to the sales department.
- Assist the engineering department with testing and evaluating new components and report on current component reliability.
- Evaluate both company machinery and competitive machinery in the field.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all models of company equipment and ensure customers are given appropriate information and/or assistance to optimize the use of that equipment.
- Obtain measurements and other details of customer equipment onto which company equipment may be installed.
- Assist in service activities and special projects both inside and outside of assigned service territory, as required.
What you need to be successful:
- At least one year of experience in a similar technical role or Associate's degree in an applicable technical program of study (or equivalent education and experience).
- Sound mechanical ability as well as basic understanding of AC and DC circuits, motors and controllers.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits using schematic drawings and electrical test equipment
- Capable of using standard laptop configurations, Windows applications, ERP systems, and CMMS platforms as well writing reports, tracking data, and inputting technical information.
- Must be willing and able to work safely and effectively with little to no direct supervision.
- Must be willing and able travel daily from home to customer sites in a company vehicle with approximately 1-2 weeks per quarter of multi-day overnight travel.
- Must be willing and able travel international travel as required (approximately 5% primarily within Canada and Mexico).
- Must have valid Driver’s License, be insurable, and pass DMV check as well as ability to strictly adhere to Fleet Management and Driving policies.
- High degree of professionalism and ability to communicate effectively with customers' management, technicians, and machine operators. Consistent focus on customer service.
- Capable of learning and understanding label making and application processes to include problem solving and corrective actions.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
