Service Technician II

You are a Service Electrical Technician who is a skilled representative of the Stelco Electric brand. You will always work with professionalism, ensuring quality diagnosis, repairs, and installations across both residential and commercial settings. You maintain high safety standards, communicate effectively with customers and the team, and consistently demonstrate the ability to independently manage service calls, expertly troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, and mentor junior field technicians.

• Crosstrain and provide coaching, mentoring, and help resolve complex customer issues or escalations.
• Offer product expertise and advanced troubleshooting guidance to customers and field technicians.
• Quality Control:
  Identify areas of risk that may adversely affect the success of the team.
• Technical Expertise:
  Demonstrate strong working knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, repair, and upgrades for both residential and commercial systems, including wiring, circuits, panels, and smart devices.
• Safety & Compliance:
  Promote and follow safe work practices, site-specific safety requirements, and reinforce compliance across the team.

  Communicate clearly with technicians, managers, project teams, and internal support functions to ensure alignment, issue resolution, and timely closeout of work.

• Minimum of 10 years of combined residential and commercial electrical experience – must demonstrate documented experience in both sectors, including diagnostics, repairs, and installations
• Strong technical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
• Strong working knowledge of residential and commercial wiring, circuits, load calculations, and smart home/building devices.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues independently in both residential and commercial environments
• Experience reading residential and commercial electrical drawings
• Minimum of 2 years mentoring or “people management” experience
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Access to reliable transportation for travel to job sites across Charlotte and surrounding areas
• Demonstrated experience with project management and leadership
• Experience using Service Titan or similar trade software in the field
• Strong service sales mindset with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High integrity with advanced social skills and ability to make solid connections.
