We are currently seeking a hands-on Robotic Weld & Automation Technician to support our manufacturing operations. This position will troubleshoot, maintain, and support robotic weld cells and automated production equipment, working closely with Production and Engineering to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair robots and automated equipment, including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and controls issues.
- Troubleshoot robot faults, I/O, sensors, servos, motors, safety circuits, tooling, and weld equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on robots, weld cells, EOAT, grippers, fixtures, and production equipment.
- Make basic robot program and position adjustments using a teach pendant.
- Check robot mastering, calibration, tooling, and programmed positions.
- Serve as the first point of contact for robot station errors, resolving issues when possible and escalating complex problems to Robot Engineering.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and automation improvements.
- Track repairs, maintenance, and recurring equipment issues and help identify permanent solutions.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Production to develop and maintain standard work instructions for robot stations.
- Train robot station personnel on proper equipment operation, troubleshooting, and safety practices.
- Follow all required safety procedures, including LOTO.
- Work with Production and Engineering to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with industrial robots, automation, equipment maintenance, or robotic welding.
- FANUC experience strongly preferred.
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot pneumatic and controls systems.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and mechanical drawings.
- Basic robot programming experience using a teach pendant.
- Strong hands‑on problem‑solving skills and ability to work effectively with Production and Engineering.
- High school diploma/GED required; technical training or degree in robotics, automation, electrical, welding, or mechatronics preferred
