Apprentice Carpenter – Bathroom Renovations

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated, dependable Apprentice Carpenter to join our residential remodeling team specializing in high-end bathroom renovations. In this role, you will work directly alongside experienced lead carpenters to learn the trade, build your skills, and assist in transforming residential bathrooms from demolition to final trim.

Key Responsibilities

Demolition & Prep: Assist in safely gutting existing bathrooms, removing fixtures, tile, cabinetry, and drywall while maintaining a clean, secure job site.

Framing & Structural: Learn and assist with minor wood and steel stud framing for walls, niches, shower benches, and floor leveling.

Drywall & Backer Board: Install cement board, waterproof membranes (e.g., Schluter/Kerdi systems), and drywall in preparation for tile and finish work.

Trim & Millwork: Help measure, cut, and install baseboards, window casing, crown molding, vanities, and medicine cabinets.

Subfloor & Floor Prep: Assist in repairing subfloors, laying underlayment, and preparing surfaces for custom tile installation.

Tool & Material Management: Stage job site materials, maintain hand and power tools, and load/unload equipment safely.

Site Safety & Cleanliness: Strictly follow OSHA guidelines, wear proper PPE, and ensure daily site cleanup to protect customer homes.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Basic knowledge of or strong interest in residential carpentry and construction practices.

Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools (e.g., miter saw, circular saw, drill/driver).

Ability to read a tape measure accurately down to $1/16 ext{ inch}$.

Physical ability to lift up to $50 ext{ lbs}$, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.

Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in mechanical maintenance, equipment operation, or hands-on manufacturing environments.

Basic understanding of OSHA safety regulations and quality control procedures.

Strong mechanical aptitude and spatial awareness.

Schedule

Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday (Day Shift).

Pay: Competitive hourly rate based on experience with opportunities for advancement.

Growth: Hands-on training and mentorship toward becoming a Journeyman Carpenter.
