Carmel Country Club is seeking a skilled, dependable Facilities Maintenance Technician with strong carpentry skills to join our Facilities team at our premier private country club.
This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in quality workmanship, and can handle a wide variety of maintenance and repair projects. The ideal candidate will have solid carpentry experience along with general building maintenance skills.
Responsibilities- Perform finish and general carpentry repairs
- Repair and install doors, frames, trim, molding, cabinets, and hardware
- Perform drywall repairs, patching, and painting
- Repair walls, ceilings, floors, and other building components
- Perform general building maintenance and preventative maintenance
- Make minor plumbing and electrical repairs
- Troubleshoot maintenance issues and determine the appropriate repair
- Assist with renovation and capital improvement projects
- Operate hand and power tools safely and properly
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work independently while coordinating with the Facilities team
- Respond professionally to work requests and maintain a high level of service
- Work in occupied areas while minimizing disruption to club members and guests
- Perform other facilities-related duties as needed
- 3+ years of carpentry, facilities maintenance, construction, or related experience
- Strong carpentry and finish-work skills
- Ability to accurately measure, cut, install, and repair building materials
- Ability to troubleshoot maintenance problems
- Experience using common hand and power tools
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple work requests
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Good communication and customer-service skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience in a commercial, hotel, resort, or private club environment
- Experience with doors and commercial hardware
- Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge
- Drywall and painting experience
- Experience reading basic construction drawings
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs
