** SUMMARY
* * The CLBT – Sr. performs journey level work installing, performing preventive maintenance on and repairing electrical and mechanical systems at Charlotte Douglas International Airport with an emphasis on conveyor and passenger loading bridge systems. Provides lead direction and training to other employees. This position also performs other general building maintenance work incidental to above duties as necessary to keep buildings in working order.
** ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES*
* • Installation, preventive maintenance, and repair of electrical and mechanical systems with an emphasis on automated baggage conveyors and passenger loading bridge systems, including specific tasks such as changing motors, bearings, gearbox reducers, and loading bridge tire repairs.

• Advanced Industrial electrical installation and troubleshooting, including 277/480V 3-phase, 120/208 3-phase,110 VAC, and 24

VDC systems   
• Advanced troubleshooting of PLCs, Motor Controls including Motor Starters, Variable Frequency, AC/DC Drives, Network Systems, and HMI’s.

• Maintenance and repair of Ground Power Units which provide power to aircraft while docked to the Loading Bridge   
• General building maintenance work, including manual labor, incidental to above duties or necessary to keep buildings in working order.

• Compile lists of equipment, tools and supplies needed. Track and order parts to maintain inventory.

• Operate cars, vans, lifts, bucket trucks and other heavy equipment.

• Extensive knowledge of other airport systems including electrical, plumbing, generators, emergency systems, aircraft fueling systems and electrical vehicle chargers.

• Work in close proximity to aircraft while performing repair and maintenance to passenger boarding bridges and associated ground support equipment.

• Subject to emergency call back for equipment repairs and inclement weather.
** MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
**** Required

Education and Experience *
* • High School diploma (or GED equivalent)  
• Five years of related experience  
• Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
** Required Licenses or Certifications*
* • North Carolina State Electrical License and  
• PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) experience and/or  
• Automated electrical/electronic control experience
