Concrete Foreman​/Superintendent

The Concrete Foreman (or Superintendent depending on years of experience) will be responsible for building, erecting, and aligning concrete structures such as foundations, footings, platforms, and boxes. With a strong ability to lead and direct a crew of 4–10 members, the ideal candidate must have extensive experience in pouring, setting formwork, and rebar installation without requiring step-by-step guidance. Proficiency in blueprint reading and construction site layouts, along with a clean driving record and reliable transportation, is a must.

• Provide clear direction to the crew, outlining responsibilities and expectations.
• Ensure a safe work environment by leading safety meetings and completing daily Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
• Construct and align forms for concrete structures and foundations with precision.
• Calculate and estimate concrete quantities and mix specifications when needed.
• Perform tasks such as cutting and placing reinforcing wire mesh, tying rebar, and preparing and leveling concrete.
• Fine-finish concrete through floating, troweling, edging, and brushing as per specifications.
• Interpret blueprints and survey stakes to ensure accurate grades and layouts.
• Operate and maintain construction equipment like mini excavators, skid steers, and forklifts.
• Maintain administrative reports, including safety logs and timesheets.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Extensive knowledge of standard methods, materials, tools, and equipment in concrete construction.
• Awareness of occupational hazards and adherence to safety precautions.
• Strong ability to interpret blueprints, calculate areas/volumes, and make decisions efficiently.
• Exceptional leadership skills to guide and instruct unskilled and semi-skilled assistants.
• Skilled in the use and care of hand and small power tools.
• Willingness to travel occasionally (typically less than 40%).

• Ability to stand and work on feet for 10–12 hours per day.
• Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Comfort with climbing ladders, steps, or lifts as required.
• Capability to work in outdoor or unregulated temperature conditions for extended periods.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (required).
• 5-10 years of experience in Industrial or General Contracting cement work.
• 2+ years of experience as a crew leader or foreman.
