Charlotte, NC (and surrounding metro area) Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary Range: $48,000 - $60,000 annually ($23.00 - $28.00/hour), depending on experience and specialized certifications. Top earners in specialized fields (e.g., HVAC, Industrial Automation) can earn upwards of $65,000 - $75,000 annually.

Randstad is partnering with a premier service provider in the Charlotte metro area to find a skilled and reliable Service Technician. In this role, you will be the face of the company in the field, ensuring that equipment is installed, maintained, and repaired to the highest standards. We are looking for a proactive problem-solver with a strong mechanical aptitude and a dedication to customer satisfaction.

• High School Diploma or GED; associate degree or technical certification in a related trade (HVAC, electrical, mechanical) is a strong plus.
• 2+ years of experience as a field service technician, mechanic, or in a similar troubleshooting role.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• strong ability to read and interpret technical manuals, electrical schematics, and mechanical blueprints.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Day-to-Day Duties:

• Travel to client sites throughout the Charlotte metro area to perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and emergency repairs on commercial/industrial equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic system malfunctions using diagnostic tools, schematics, and service manuals.
• Perform comprehensive preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and extend machinery lifespan.
• Maintain accurate, detailed service logs, inventory records, and time-tracking reports via mobile field service software.
• Communicate technical issues clearly and professionally to clients, advising them on best practices, necessary upgrades, or safety hazards.
• Manage an inventory of spare parts and tools within a company-provided service vehicle, ensuring it remains fully stocked and organized.
• Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols, company guidelines, and site-specific safety requirements at all times.
