As an Options Installation Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring machines are configured to customer specifications by installing and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical options. As an Options Installation Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring customer-ordered machine options are installed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with Okuma quality standards.

• Install electrical and mechanical options on Okuma-built machines to meet customer requirements and specifications.
• Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation to support installation and assembly activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve installation-related issues involving electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and software systems.
• Verify completed installations and perform quality checks to ensure proper functionality and compliance with specifications.
• Utilize a variety of hand tools, precision measuring equipment, cranes, forklifts, and other equipment safely and effectively.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to identify solutions and maintain project timelines.
• Maintain a safe, organized work environment while adhering to all company policies and safety practices.
• Perform additional duties as assigned and proactively seek opportunities to improve processes and add value.

• Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2 to 5 years of manufacturing experience with a primary focus on electrical assembly, installation, or machine building

• Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical blueprints.
• Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience using hand tools, precision measuring instruments, cranes, forklifts, and other assembly equipment.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to inspect work thoroughly, diagnose electrical or software-related issues, and understand hydraulic and pneumatic circuitry.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
