We are hiring a full-time bilingual receptionist as a member of our team.

Overview

Metrolina Association for the Blind, Inc. has been providing services to and empowering people with blindness and visual impairment since 1934.

We are hiring a full time Bilingual (English/Spanish) Receptionist. We are seeking an individual who is flexible, adaptable, comfortable with a diverse community, and has good people/customer service skills. This is a full-time year-round position with benefits. You will be part of a talented team of professionals providing vision rehabilitation services to the dynamic Charlotte community.

Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED, Hi-Set, etc.) and related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree (not required, but preferred)
  • Pass a background screening, drug screening and credit check.
  • Bilingual
    - Spanish and English
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Screen all visitors via the video and intercom systems prior to entering the building and follow all security measures with check-in process
  • Sign for all special deliveries and follow the procedures for mail delivery, USPS included
  • Obtain caller’s name and takes message or arranges for appointment with person called upon
  • Directs caller to destination, and records name, time of call, nature of business, and person called upon as required
  • Operate telephone console to receive incoming messages
  • Types memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents
