Kanda is looking for a hands‑on Case Manager to join our Children, Youth and Family Services team in Mackay
. This role is ideal for someone who understands the local community, enjoys working closely with young people, and wants to make a real difference in their daily lives. You will support young people in residential care while leading and guiding a small team of residential care workers to ensure safe, consistent, and person‑centred support.
- Lead a team of residential care workers, providing regular supervision and fostering a supportive team environment.
- Develop, manage, and review individualised plans for young people, addressing their needs and goals.
- Work collaboratively with departments, stakeholders, government agencies, and community partners to ensure coordinated support for youth.
- Complete mandatory reporting and administrative tasks to meet organisational and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in supervision, team meetings, stakeholder meetings, and inter‑agency meetings.
- Provide direct care support by completing shifts as needed, ensuring continuity of care for young people.
- Certificate IV, Diploma, or Bachelor in Child, Youth & Family Intervention or a related field such as Social Work, Psychology, or Education.
- Proven experience in youth services management, including program oversight and staff supervision.
- Strong understanding of Child Protection principles and experience working with government and non-government agencies.
- Excellent leadership and decision‑making skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team, and manage conflicts or complaints.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
