Intensive Support Social Work Team (ISSWT) Supervisors
We are actively recruiting statewide, with immediate needs in the Charlotte, NC area and surrounding counties.
As a supervisor with the ISSWT, you will provide leadership, oversight, and direct support to staff engaged in frontline child welfare practice, including:
- Overseeing completion of backlog assessment cases
- Monitoring and supporting initiation of assessments
- Guiding and reviewing Family In-Home Services and Permanency Planning activities
- Supervising participation in after‑hours and weekend on‑call rotations
- Ensuring strict alignment with federal and state mandates, policy, and best practices
- Coordinating with counties on case‑carrying support (with anticipated expansion in 2026)

- Minimum 5 years of experience as a North Carolina CPS Social Work Supervisor (or Social Worker with significant leadership responsibility)
- Forensic training preferred
- Must not have been employed by Mecklenburg County DSS within the past 3 years (for contract compliance)
- Extensive knowledge of NC child welfare policy, practice standards, CQI processes, and effective family engagement
- Strong technology skills, with the ability to work independently while upholding company values
- Demonstrated ability to:
- Lead teams through personal and organizational change with flexibility and emotional regulation
- Coach, mentor, and support staff in adapting to evolving county needs
- Maintain high professional standards in fast‑moving, variable environments
- Willingness to travel across North Carolina and work flexible hours
- Must meet Investigative Assessment Treatment Social Worker requirements
