Position Summary
Miracle Houses, Inc. is seeking compassionate, reliable, and trauma-informed professionals to join our team as One-on-One Support Staff
, providing individualized behavioral and emotional support to youth with complex needs. This position plays a key role in maintaining a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment for youth who require enhanced care and individualized attention due to behavioral, emotional, or developmental challenges. As an Intensive Behavioral Support Specialist and Individualized Support Youth Mentor
, you will work closely with high-risk youth in one-on-one settings to provide consistent support, implement behavior intervention strategies, and respond to crises with empathy and professionalism. You will serve as a direct care role model, mentor, and stabilizing influence in the life of a young person.
- Provide intensive, individualized support to youth with high behavioral or emotional needs.
- Serve as a One-to-One Behavioral Interventionist, implementing behavior management plans developed by clinical staff.
- Promote youth safety, emotional regulation, and personal development through positive reinforcement and structured activities.
- De-escalate behavioral crises as a Crisis Response Youth Support Worker using trauma-informed, non-violent intervention techniques.
- Work closely with the treatment team to track progress and communicate behavioral trends or concerns.
- Support youth in developing coping skills, social skills, and independent living abilities as an Enhanced Care Youth Specialist.
- Provide stabilization services during high-risk periods as a Behavioral Stabilization Specialist.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment, ensuring all youth are monitored and supervised at all times.
- Model healthy boundaries, respect, and consistency as an Individualized Support Youth Mentor.
- Maintain documentation, incident reports, and shift notes in compliance with program policies.
- High school diploma or GED required;
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, human services, or related field preferred. - Minimum 1 year of experience working with high-needs or high-risk youth in a residential, group home, or mental health setting preferred.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed care, positive behavioral interventions, and youth development models.
- Ability to remain calm, grounded, and professional during behavioral escalations or emotional crises.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Must pass background checks, drug screening, and relevant certifications (e.g., CPR/First Aid, NCI/TCI if required).
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred.
