- The Safe Housing Program for A New Way of Life Reentry Project supports formerly incarcerated women as they transition back into the community by providing safe housing, advocacy, case management, workforce development, and family reunification services.
- The program’s mission is to empower women to rebuild their lives, foster independence, and break cycles of incarceration through holistic, trauma-informed support.
- The Housing Manager provides leadership, oversight, and strategic direction for the SAFE Housing Program.
- This role requires a mission-driven leader committed to criminal justice reform, women’s empowerment, and community-based social services.
- Responsible for implementing the ANWOL SAFE Housing model in North Carolina and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Ensure all clients receive individualized case management addressing housing stability, employment, legal needs, and family reunification.
- Monitor client progress and adjust program offerings to support positive outcomes.
- Develop and enforce policies that protect the safety, dignity, and privacy of residents.
- Lead implementation of the ANWOL SAFE Housing model.
- Develop programs using a trauma-informed, client-centered approach.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and best practices.
- Serve as spokesperson and build partnerships with community stakeholders.
- Collaborate on grant reporting and program sustainability efforts.
- Hire, train, supervise, and support program staff.
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, Public Administration, or related field required.
- 3–5 years leadership experience in social services or nonprofit organizations.
- Experience working with justice-involved women or transitional housing programs.
- Experience in fundraising, grant writing, and budget management.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and case management practices.
- Mission-driven and committed to criminal justice reform.
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- Culturally competent and respectful of justice-involved women’s experiences.
- Strong problem-solving and advocacy abilities.
