Family Services of America Corporation is seeking a Qualified Professional / Case Manager to support youth in our Emergency Placement Facility in Charlotte, NC. This role provides case management, service coordination, crisis support, and supervision of Behavioral Technicians in a fast-paced shelter setting.
Key Responsibilities- Complete intake assessments and develop individualized service plans/placement agreementsfor youth residents.
- Coordinate care with DSS partners, families, schools, medical providers, court personnel, and other collateral contacts.
- Monitor resident progress, update service plans, and support safe transitions or discharges.
- Supervise, train, coach, and support Behavioral Technicians assigned to the shelter.
- Respond to behavioral or mental health crises using trauma-informed de-escalation strategies.
- Maintain accurate case notes, reports, incident documentation, and service records.
- Participate in rotating on-call coverage for emergency placements and after-hours needs.
- Support program launch activities, staff readiness, workflow development, and shelter operations as needed.
- Trauma-informed and culturally responsive practice

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced 24/7 shelter environment
- Strong organization, documentation, and attention to detail
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related human services field required;
Master’s degree preferred. - Must meet applicable Qualified Professional requirements for North Carolina child-serving programs.
- Licensure as LCSW, LCSWA, LCMHC, LCMHCA, or eligibility for licensure in North Carolina preferred.
- At least two(2) years of experience in child welfare, foster care, residential care, emergency shelter, or a related child-serving field.
- Experience supervising, training, or mentoring direct-care staff preferred.
- Valid North Carolina driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Must successfully pass all required background checks before employment
