TV App Developer

What you will do

• Build, maintain, and optimize apps for Roku using Bright Script and Scene Graph
• Create responsive and engaging interfaces for large-screen viewing experiences
• Integrate playback, analytics, authentication, and monetization into TV applications
• Collaborate with design, backend, and mobile teams to ensure seamless cross-platform functionality
• Support development across other platforms such as Apple TV (Swift),
  Fire TV (Kotlin/Java),
  Samsung Tizen
  , and LG webOS as needed
• Participate in code reviews, establish best practices, and help mentor junior developers

• Strong hands-on experience building Roku apps using Bright Script and Scene Graph
• Familiarity with Roku Advertising Framework (RAF) and media playback integration
• Experience with HLS or DASH streaming, captions, and DRM technologies
• Solid understanding of API integration, video delivery, and cross-device compatibility
• Comfortable working in Agile environments and collaborating with distributed teams

• Experience with additional TV ecosystems:
• Apple TV (Swift, AVPlayer, TVML/TVJS)
• Familiarity with cloud-based video hosting, CDN delivery, and app store submission processes
• Exposure to OTT or SaaS-based media platforms
