Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Java Developer to join their team in Charlotte. The role focuses on building modern microservices-based systems as part of a large-scale initiative to transition legacy systems to a modern architecture.
The ideal candidate will be self-driven, proactive, and capable of working independently while maintaining a leadership mindset as a Lead Engineer / Senior Individual Contributor.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop Java-based microservices for enterprise applications
- Contribute to the modernization of legacy systems into microservices architecture
- Build and maintain REST APIs and service integrations
- Work independently while demonstrating technical leadership and ownership
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure scalable and reliable application development
- Participate in design discussions and code reviews
- 8–9 years of Java development experience
- Strong experience with Spring Boot
- Experience building Microservices architecture
- Experience with Apigee API management
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
