Our client, a leading organization in the technology sector, is seeking a Software Engineer 4 - Contingent to join their team. As a Software Engineer 4 - Contingent, you will be part of the Consumer Lending Operations Technology department supporting high-availability application and middleware platforms. Location: Charlotte, NC

• Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering.
• Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Software Engineering challenges requiring in-depth evaluation.
• Contribute to the resolution of complex situations by understanding policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate strategically with client personnel to improve platform stability and reliability.
• Implement observability, automation, and CI/CD practices to enhance operational efficiency and stability.

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work, training, military experience, or education.
• Experience supporting high-availability applications and middleware in complex environments.
• Hands‑on automation and configuration management skills, with proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Power Shell.
• Strong Linux administration experience, preferably with RHEL, supporting enterprise production workloads.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code, Open Shift (OCP), Kubernetes, and container‑adjacent hosting models.
