Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Selenium and Playwright-based automation frameworks and proven experience in Java, Type Script, and Python development. The ideal candidate will play a key role in test automation strategy, implementation, offshore team leadership, and technical problem‑solving, while working closely with cross‑functional Agile teams. Experience with Git Hub Copilot and emerging AI‑driven testing practices is highly desirable.

Must

Have Technical/Functional Skills
  • 6+ years of experience in QA Automation Engineering
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Selenium and Playwright
  • Solid programming skills in Java, Type Script, and Python
  • Strong SQL skills for database testing and validation
  • Experience using ALM Octane (or similar test management tools)
  • Proven experience in defect management and Agile methodologies
  • Experience leading and working with offshore QA teams
  • Hands‑on experience using Git Hub Copilot

  • Experience with API automation (REST, Graph

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Test Automation Development & Strategy – design, develop and maintain robust, scalable, and reusable automation frameworks using Selenium and Playwright; implement automated test solutions for UI, API, and regression testing; drive automation best practices including code reusability, maintainability and CI/CD integration; review automation code and ensure adherence to coding standards and testing guidelines.
  • Programming & Technical Expertise – develop automation solutions using Java, Type Script and Python; leverage object‑oriented design principles, design patterns and clean coding practices; integrate automation solutions with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, Azure Dev Ops).
  • Database & Backend Validation – perform backend and database validations using SQL queries; validate data integrity across systems and ensure end‑to‑end test coverage; collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot data‑related defects.
  • Test Management & Quality Governance – manage test cases, execution cycles and test artifacts using Micro Focus ALM Octane (or similar test repository tools); ensure effective defect lifecycle management, including triage, root cause analysis and resolution tracking; provide quality metrics and dashboards to stakeholders.
  • Agile & Collaboration – actively participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives); work closely with Product Owners, Developers, and Dev Ops teams to ensure quality at every stage of development; advocate for shift‑left testing and continuous quality improvement.
  • Offshore Team Leadership – lead and mentor offshore/onshore QA team members; assign work, track progress, and ensure timely delivery of testing outcomes; provide technical guidance, resolve complex automation challenges, and conduct knowledge‑sharing sessions; establish best practices and improve overall team productivity and automation coverage.
  • AI Tools & Innovation – utilize Git Hub Copilot to improve development efficiency, code quality and automation speed; explore and implement AI‑assisted testing approaches where applicable; contribute to or experiment with AI agents, intelligent test generation or self‑healing automation concepts.
