Seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize scalable data processing solutions using Java or Scala with Spark. This role involves hands‑on engineering, performance tuning, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams to build robust distributed data systems.

• Experience with Java/Spark or Scala/Spark
• Experience using version control tools such as GIT
• Experience with CI/CD processes
• Experience with build tools such as Gradle and Maven
• Strong knowledge of database concepts
• Strong knowledge of UNIX bash scripting
• Experience with Spark and SQL
• Experience leading other engineers and designing solutions
• Experience abstracting and decomposing software into services
• Proficiency in Java or Scala, Spark, SQL, Shell scripting

• Hands‑on experience working with Hadoop ecosystem and big data technologies/stores such as Hive, Kafka, S3, and Iceberg
• Spark performance tuning knowledge
• Data modeling and normalization knowledge
• Experience developing cloud‑native applications and cloud deployment (AWS or GCP)
