Senior Java API Architect – Cloud, Microservices, Banking

Required Experience

• 10+ years of experience in Java EE design and development (Java 8 preferred, but not mandatory).
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in REST API and Spring Boot design and development.
• Strong understanding of API security risks, microservices architecture, and resilience patterns.

  QL implementation experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with Git, Jira, Jenkins, and automated testing tools.

• Design, develop, implement, and deploy API solutions, demonstrating expertise in areas such as cloud computing, API architecture, and distributed systems.
• Build and maintain end-to-end features within the business banking platform.
• Ensure technical designs are well-structured, maintainable, testable, and include thoughtful consideration of dependencies, failure scenarios, and supportability.
• Contribute to the architecture and evolution of a complex online banking platform.
• Drive the migration of microservices and microapps to the Azure cloud platform.
• Make design and coding decisions with a strong focus on customer experience and usability.
• Incorporate feedback from code reviews and apply improvements to meet engineering standards.
• Conduct code reviews to promote best practices and adherence to development processes.
• Ensure all aspects of product development comply with security, regulatory, and industry best practices.
