Job Title:

Specialty Software Engineer 4 / Service Now Developer

Location:

Charlotte, NC or Irving, TX - Hybrid (3 days onsite mandatory)

Contract Length: 12 months (possible extension or conversion)

Pay Rate: $81 - $87

Top Requirements:

* 6+ years of Service Now development experience with strong platform engineering expertise

* Service Now CSA and CAD certifications (required)

* Strong JavaScript / Glide Script experience and integration development capabilities

Plusses:

* Full-stack Java development background

* Experience with automation/testing tools (Playwright, ATF)

* Experience with Service Now integrations and API development

* Experience in Business Continuity Management (BCM) or enterprise service platforms

* Experience working in Agile environments and global teams

Job Summary:

In this contingent resource assignment, you may:
Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Specialty Software Engineering. Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Specialty Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented factors. Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables.

Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

* Design, develop, and maintain Service Now applications and platform solutions

* Build and customize Service Now modules including Enterprise Services Portfolio (ESP) and Business Continuity Management (BCM)

* Develop scripts using JavaScript and Glide Script to enhance platform functionality

* Design and implement integrations between Service Now and external systems

* Participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning and delivery

* Collaborate with platform engineering and production support teams

* Lead and contribute to system enhancements, new feature development, and issue resolution

* Support automation efforts, including testing frameworks such as Playwright and ATF

* Ensure compliance with enterprise risk and governance standards

* Analyze and troubleshoot complex system issues and integrations

* Work with globally distributed teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions

* Translate business requirements into technical solutions and platform configurations

2. Can you discuss your experience with Service Now's scripting languages, such as JavaScript and Glide Script? How do you utilize them to enhance functionality?

4. How many catalog items have you developed? Could you share an example of a complex one and describe the solution you implemented?

5. Explain how Service Now table inheritance works. When would you extend an existing table versus creating a new one?

6. Have you previously worked on data imports? If so, how did you make it happen?
