Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid - 3 days onsite required)
Duration: 12-month contract (with potential extension)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with strong ETL and data engineering expertise to join our team in Charlotte, NC. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines and integrations.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop scalable solutions for data processing, validation, and integration. This role emphasizes execution and development rather than architecture or design.
Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines and data integration workflows
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data transformation and validation
• Build and support systems of record (SORs) and data processing frameworks
• Develop and maintain applications using .NET technologies
• Execute tasks aligned with Jira stories and sprint deliverables
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance across systems
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions
• Adapt to evolving technologies and tooling as needed (initial focus on SSIS)

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• 6-8 years of software engineering experience
• 6+ years of hands-on experience with SQL, including:
  • Data integration
  • ETL processes
  • Data validation and transformation
  • System of record (SOR) development
• Experience developing applications using .NET
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality, production-ready code
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python and/or C#
• Experience with SSIS or similar ETL tools
• Background in traditional application development environments
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools and technologies
• Experience working in Agile environments (e.g., Jira-based workflows)
