Job Description
Design, document, and implement secure, scalable, and high-performance architectures on AWS.
Work hands-on with engineering teams to develop and optimize data pipelines for batch and real-time processing using PySpark and Flink.
Architect and oversee Python-based API development to expose data and application capabilities to internal and external consumers.
Build and manage workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow (MWAA) to schedule, monitor, and maintain complex pipelines and services.
Design and optimize data storage solutions, leveraging DynamoDB, Document DB, and other AWS-native databases to meet performance and scalability needs.
Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives using Terraform and/or Cloud Formation, ensuring repeatable and automated deployments.
Implement and enhance CI/CD pipelines, promoting Dev Ops best practices across teams.
Monitor system performance, reliability, and cost, proactively identifying opportunities for optimization and cost reduction.
Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical architecture and execution plans.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices.

6–10 years of hands-on experience designing and developing solutions on AWS.
Strong, proven hands-on development experience; this role is not purely architectural.
Deep expertise with AWS services, including but not limited to:
- EMR, EC2, Fargate
- DynamoDB, Document DB
- MWAA (Apache Airflow)
Extensive experience building data pipelines using PySpark (batch and streaming); experience with Flink strongly preferred.
Strong proficiency in Python, including API development and backend services.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or Cloud Formation.
Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops best practices.
Proven ability to design scalable, secure, and cost-efficient architectures in an enterprise environment.
Strong communication skills with the ability to lead technical discussions and mentor engineers. Experience with real-time streaming architectures and event-driven systems.
Background in large-scale enterprise or highly regulated environments.
AWS certifications (Solutions Architect – Professional preferred).
