Assistant Vice President – BZ

Position Overview

DB Global Technology, Inc. seeks an Assistant Vice President in Cary, NC to design, code, and test application solutions.

• Design, code, and test application solutions.
• Develop scalable, containerized microservices with Spring Boot, Java, and Kotlin.
• Implement clean architecture patterns, circuit breakers, and API gateways for optimal performance.
• Optimize database performance by writing efficient SQL procedures, functions, and JPA/Hibernate queries for Oracle and Postgres.
• Orchestrate production workloads using Kubernetes, Open Shift, and Team City.
• Automate CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins for secure, zero‑downtime deployments.
• Design RESTful and event‑driven APIs with robust authentication using OAuth and WebSSO, enabling seamless cross‑domain SSO.
• Develop and maintain Java Swing applications with MVC architecture and custom UI components, integrating Web Logic Server and JMS messaging.
• Enhance system reliability by troubleshooting production issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective measures.
• Automate workflows and integrations using SMTP services and event‑driven triggers.
• Lead technical design sessions, create architecture diagrams using UML, and document runbooks/SOPs for operational excellence.
• Automate infrastructure tasks with Unix/Linux shell scripting and integrate modern SDLC tools including GIT, JIRA, Artifactory, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies to estimate work using story points and drive continuous improvement through retrospectives.

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience designing and developing scalable, containerized microservices.
• Proficiency in Spring Boot, Java, and Kotlin.
• Experience implementing clean architecture, circuit breakers, and API gateways.
• Strong SQL skills for Oracle and Postgres.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Open Shift, Jenkins, and Team City.
• Experience with OAuth, WebSSO, and cross‑domain SSO.
• Experience developing Java Swing applications with MVC and custom UI components.
• Familiarity with Web Logic Server, JMS messaging, Unix/Linux shell scripting, GIT, JIRA, Artifactory, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.

• Salary range: $142,000 – $165,000 per year.
• Eligible for Deutsche Bank's Employee Referral Incentive Program.
