We are seeking an Application Architect III to join our dynamic team supporting a global Trade Event Processor platform. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in core Java for high‑volume, low‑latency, distributed systems and a proven ability to deliver new features, stability improvements, and production support outcomes in a Linux and Agile environment.

• Design and implement new functionality for a distributed, multi-threaded event processing platform using core Java.
• Contribute across the SDLC, including requirements discussions, development, testing, release, and production support.
• Investigate system behavior and resolve queries in partnership with first-line support and global stakeholders.
• Identify and implement fixes and optimizations to enhance efficiency, scalability, and fault tolerance.

• 5 years of professional core Java development experience.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design and development principles.
• Working knowledge of Java garbage collection and concurrent, low-latency I/O.
• Experience building on Linux in multi-threaded, large-scale, fault-tolerant systems.
• Messaging technologies such as TIBCO RV/EMS, JMS, AMPS, or Apache Kafka.
• Demonstrated ability to operate independently in decision making and handle support inquiries.

• Experience with Agile practices and release coordination.
• Background in global trading systems or event-driven architectures.

• Team player with interpersonal skills and integrity.
• Ownership of investigations and resolutions with judgment on when to elevate.
• Ability to work across development, testing, support analysis, and release coordination.

• Start: ASAP.
• Onsite: 3 days per week at NJ, Jersey City, NJ. Location must appear on resume.
