Backend Developer, DevOps
Responsibilities
- Experience building or contributing to platform engineering solutions, including shared services, internal developer tools, or reusable frameworks.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud‑native development, containers, and Kubernetes/Open Shift environments.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and Dev Sec Ops practices, including automated testing, security scanning, and deployment workflows.
- Exposure to policy‑as‑code frameworks and policy engines (e.g., OPA/Rego or similar) and an understanding of how automated policies enforce governance and compliance.
- Experience developing automation and self‑service capabilities, including templates, reusable pipelines, or onboarding workflows.
- Understanding of event‑driven architectures and messaging platforms (e.g., Kafka or similar).
- Familiarity with observability practices, including logging, metrics, and tracing using tools such as Prometheus, Splunk, or Open Telemetry.
- Exposure to enterprise integration patterns and API design, including REST‑based services and API governance.
- Experience with integration platforms or API management solutions, with Mule Soft platform experience considered a plus.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
- Experience working in Agile development environments and collaborative, cross‑functional teams.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to contribute to shared platform standards and reusable engineering patterns.
- Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s or MBA) in a related field.
All regular teammates (not temporary or contingent workers) working 20 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits, though eligibility for specific benefits may be determined by the division of Truist offering the position.
