Seeking a Full Stack Java Developer to support a major mortgage application modernization and redesign initiative within a large financial institution. This role will focus on enhancing customer-facing and internal mortgage platforms, improving user experience, streamlining business processes, and supporting digital transformation efforts.

The ideal candidate will have experience developing enterprise applications within large banking environments, exposure to mortgage origination or servicing systems, and a strong interest in leveraging AI-enabled tools to improve software delivery and operational efficiency.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications supporting mortgage and lending platforms.
• Participate in the redesign and modernization of mortgage applications, workflows, and customer experiences.
• Develop scalable backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and maintain responsive user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Support Agile development practices including sprint planning, code reviews, and retrospectives.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, testing, code quality, and documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and performance issues.
• Support CI/CD processes and deployment activities.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise security, risk, and regulatory requirements.

• 2+ years of Software Engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, education, training, or military experience.
• Experience developing enterprise applications using Java.
• Experience working in large banking, financial services, mortgage, or highly regulated environments.
• Experience supporting mortgage origination, mortgage servicing, loan processing, lending platforms, or related financial applications.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Front-end development experience using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frameworks.
• Experience working with relational databases and SQL.
• Understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

• Experience with mortgage application redesign, digital transformation, or customer experience modernization initiatives.
• Experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Experience with React, Angular, or similar front-end frameworks.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices.
• Familiarity with AI technologies, Generative AI solutions, or AI-assisted development tools such as Git Hub Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to adopt emerging AI capabilities to improve software development and business outcomes.
