Job Overview

Senior Software Engineer to serve as a subject-matter expert (SME) for the LoanIQ platform within the Capital Markets Technology organization. This hands-on engineering role combines technical delivery with domain expertise across the loan lifecycle—from origination and syndication through servicing, sales, trading, and settlement. The successful candidate will own critical components of the LoanIQ ecosystem, partner with front-office, middle-office, and operations stakeholders, and set the technical standard for the team as a senior technical authority.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the technical SME for the LoanIQ application, owning design, development, configuration, and support across the platform and its integrations.
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, resilient solutions supporting loan syndication, loan sales and trading, agency/servicing, and related capital markets workflows.
  • Translate business requirements from trading desks, syndications, operations, and finance into robust technical solutions.
  • Lead the analysis and resolution of complex production issues, including trade booking, position keeping, cash flow processing, and settlement breaks.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between LoanIQ and upstream/downstream systems (trade capture, settlement, accounting/GL, market data, reporting, and reconciliation platforms).
  • Drive code quality through design reviews, code reviews, automated testing, and adherence to SDLC and change-management controls.
  • Partner with vendors (e.g., Finastra) on platform upgrades, patches, and roadmap alignment.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across the team.
  • Ensure solutions meet regulatory, audit, security, and data-governance requirements applicable to capital markets systems.
  • Qualifications

    Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in software development.
  • Deep knowledge of multiple programming languages, software architecture, and design principles.
  • Deep understanding of software development lifecycle, testing, deployment, and security practices.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) or equivalent.
  • Deep expertise in cloud-native architectures, microservices, container orchestration, and Dev Ops.
  • Strong familiarity with Agile frameworks, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and enterprise innovation management.
  • The annual base salary for this position is $155,300-$170,800.
