Associate Data Engineer; Python​/Azure - Charlotte, NC

Overview

Our client seeks an early‑career Data Engineer in Charlotte, NC, to build data‑driven solutions on the Quantexa platform for financial crime analytics, mainly Anti‑Money Laundering.

Associate Data Engineer (Python / Azure)

• Stakeholder Collaboration – Work with business stakeholders and product owners to clarify requirements, define acceptance criteria, and translate use cases into user stories and business rules.
• Data Analysis & Mapping – Analyze source systems and enterprise datasets to define data mappings, transformation logic, and data quality rules aligned with Quantexa standards.
• Pipeline Development – Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and transformations to support analytics, reporting, and investigative workflows.
• Quantexa Configuration – Configure and support end‑to‑end Quantexa solutions, including entity resolution, network modeling, scoring logic, validation, and UI components.
• Agile Delivery – Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and backlog refinement to ensure requirements are clearly understood.
• Documentation – Document data logic, mappings, and solution design.
• Data Quality Improvement – Identify inconsistencies or reliability risks and recommend improvements.
• Testing Support – Contribute to unit testing and validation of solutions.
• Technical Foundation – Apply working knowledge of Python or Java, relational data models, Azure, Databricks, Git, JIRA, Confluence.
