We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Service Now Developer to drive the design, development, customization, and integration of enterprise Service Now solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Service Now ITSM implementations, workflow automation, Service Portal development, custom application development, and third‑party integrations. This role will work closely with business stakeholders and technology teams to deliver scalable, efficient, and innovative Service Now solutions that enhance operational excellence and digital transformation initiatives.
Additional Information* The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte is $110k - $120k/year & benefits (see below).
- The Role
Responsibilities: Design, develop, configure, and customize Service Now applications and platform modules. - Implement and support Service Now ITSM capabilities including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge, and Service Catalog Management.
- Develop and maintain Service Now workflows, Flow Designer solutions, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, and Script Includes.
- Build, enhance, and support Service Portals and Employee Service Center (ESC) solutions.
- Develop integrations between Service Now and enterprise applications using REST APIs, SOAP services, Integration Hub, MID Server, and web services.
- Create and maintain custom applications utilizing App Engine Studio and Service Now Studio.
- Design and implement workflow automation solutions to improve operational efficiency and service delivery.
- Develop reports, dashboards, KPIs, and Performance Analytics for business and operational stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot Service Now platform issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long‑term solutions.
- Support platform upgrades, patching activities, release management, and adoption of new Service Now features.
- Ensure adherence to Service Now development standards, governance policies, security requirements, and best practices.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, release planning, and technical documentation activities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to platform optimization and modernization efforts.
- Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of hands‑on experience in Service Now development and administration.
- Proven experience implementing and supporting Service Now ITSM modules.
- Hands‑on experience with Service Now Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and Service Catalog.
- Strong experience developing REST API and SOAP‑based integrations.
- Knowledge of Service Portal and Employee Service Center (ESC) development.
- Experience with App Engine Studio and custom application development.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving capabilities.
