- Integrate front‑end components with Service Now data, APIs, and workflows to deliver context‑aware user experiences.
- Partner with stakeholders, business analysts, architects, and platform developers to gather requirements and translate them into technical UI solutions.
- Support UI‑related configuration across forms, catalog experiences, widgets, client‑side behavior, and platform navigation where needed.
- Optimize applications for usability, accessibility, responsiveness, and performance across devices and user personas.
- Troubleshoot defects, resolve UI performance issues, and stay current on Service Now release updates tied to Next Experience and UI Builder capabilities.
- 4+ years of hands‑on Service Now development experience, including meaningful experience focused on UI customization and front‑end development within the platform.
- Proven experience with Service Now UI Builder, configurable work spaces, and modern Next Experience‑based interfaces.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, with the ability to develop and troubleshoot custom UI behaviour.
- Experience working with Service Now APIs, client‑server interactions, and data integration patterns such as Glide Ajax and platform data resources.
- Familiarity with Service Portal, widgets, catalog‑related UI components, and legacy‑to‑modern UI transition considerations.
- Solid understanding of Service Now platform architecture, application structure, and deployment practices.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments and collaborating through tools such as Git and Jira.
- Service Now certifications such as CSA required or strongly preferred, with CAD or additional platform certifications viewed favorably.
- Exposure to UX/UI design practices, including wire framing, component thinking, accessibility awareness, and design collaboration in tools such as Figma.
- Experience with integrations, Flow Designer, App Engine Studio, or broader platform automation work beyond the UI layer.
- Experience supporting employee, agent, customer, or service operations workspace use cases in enterprise environments.
- Service Now UI Builder, configurable work spaces, and Next Experience components.
- Service Portal Designer and portal widget customization tools.
