Senior Java Developer

10 is currently seeking a Senior Java Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ or Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

As part of an agile scrum team, the successful candidate will participate in the transformation and implementation of a critical feed processing system within the Compliance technology organization. This role will be responsible for driving the architecture and implementation of key program initiatives, working with users to refine requirements, and developing high-quality, scalable database systems.

• Participate in the transformation and implementation of a critical feed processing system
• Drive architecture and implementation of key program initiatives
• Work with users to refine requirements for high-quality and scalable database systems
• Design and develop solutions as a hands-on architect and developer
• Focus on process improvement and strategic thinking

• 10+ years of application development experience with Java and Spring Framework
• 10+ years of professional experience developing solutions on Oracle databases
• 6+ years of API-based development experience with Spring Boot, SOAP, and REST Web Services
• 6+ years of experience with job scheduling tools
• 5-10 years of experience in a Unix environment and Shell scripting
• Strong experience with Oracle database query performance optimizations, data warehousing, OLTP solutions, and PL/SQL
• Real-time application experience with MQ or similar technology
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline setup and end-to-end automation for build and deployment
• Experience with release management, branching strategies, and distributed source control systems such as Git
• Ability to apply architectural patterns and principles to achieve reusability, testability, scalability, and maintainability
• Experience and desire to work in an Agile process (pair programming, daily stand-ups, etc)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Experience with Oracle 12c/19c
• Experience with domain-driven design and distributed systems
• Relevant industry experience in Compliance, Entity/Transaction Scanning, Banking, or Financial services
• Familiarity with security vulnerabilities, SSO, and SAML-based user authentications
• Familiarity with unit testing, testing methodology, JIRA, and infrastructure support
• Experience with modeling tools and notation

Pay range: $ 58.26 - $66.26 per hour
