Senior/Lead Backend Engineer

JD 3 days a week from the client location: 2300 Yorkmont Road, Charlotte, NC, 28217 is mandatory. We will have an internal evaluation first, followed by 2 client rounds (1st remote and 2nd in person at the client's office). Senior/Lead Backend Engineer is responsible for leading a team of offshore engineers (DEV and QA) and being available during most Onshore EST timings.

Role includes becoming a bridge between the dev team and the onshore business team. Role includes hands-on development (programming) on all backend technologies. Good knowledge of Java, Spring and Spring Boot, MySQL and AWS architecture.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Becoming the bridge between dev team and business team
• Debug issues that arise during onshore time
• Converting legacy applications into micro-services hosted in AWS
• Leading the dev team by writing quality code, reviewing pull requests, and setting coding standards
• Strong Database skills in MYSQL
• Experience working in AWS architecture

MUST HAVE

SKILLS:

• Java/MySQL, Spring, Spring Boot and AWS skills
• Minimum of 6 years' experience in programming
• Served as dev lead at least for a year

Good to have:

• Docker and Azure Dev Ops knowledge
