Location:

Charlotte, NC (on-site 3-4/week) We are seeking a Senior Architecture Consultant to lead the design of scalable loan-management solutions across backend, web, mobile, workflow automation, and AI. You will establish technical standards, guide engineering teams, and partner with business and technology leaders to shape the technical roadmap.

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end architecture for complex applications and platforms.
• Design scalable Java and Spring-based services, APIs, and microservices.
• Guide Angular web and React Native mobile architecture.
• Lead Camunda BPM workflow design using BPMN and DMN.
• Architect AI solutions involving LLMs, agents, vector search, RAG, and intelligent automation.
• Establish architecture standards and lead design reviews and proofs of concept.
• Identify technical debt, architectural risks, and performance concerns.
• Partner with product, engineering, security, Dev Ops, and data teams.
• Evaluate vendor technologies and build-versus-buy decisions.
• Mentor architects and developers across multiple teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Six or more years of software engineering and architecture experience.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and microservices.
• Experience with Angular, React Native, and Camunda BPM.
• Hands-on experience delivering AI-powered products using LLM APIs and enterprise integrations.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, event-driven architecture, APIs, databases, and cloud-native design.
• Experience with Dev Sec Ops , infrastructure as code, and AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong communication, technical leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Financial-services or personal loan-management experience is preferred.
