Talent Bridge is partnering with an innovative engineering organization developing advanced robotic and autonomous vehicle technologies for highly regulated government applications. We are seeking a Software Engineer with experience developing software for embedded and robotic systems. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop, integrate, test, and deploy software supporting next-generation autonomous platforms. This is a hands‑on engineering role where you'll work across software, embedded hardware, communications, and system integration to deliver reliable, production-ready solutions.
WhatYou'll Be Doing
As part of a collaborative engineering team, you'll contribute throughout the product development lifecycle by:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining software for robotic and embedded systems.
- Building applications and services using ROS2, Python, and C++.
- Integrating sensors, actuators, embedded computers, and communication interfaces into complete robotic systems.
- Developing software for edge computing platforms and embedded hardware.
- Supporting software bring-up, debugging, and system validation in Linux environments.
- Integrating CAN Bus devices and troubleshooting communication between embedded subsystems.
- Collaborating with electrical, mechanical, and systems engineers during product development and integration.
- Maintaining source code, version control, and development workflows using Git.
- Supporting software testing, debugging, code reviews, and continuous integration practices.
- Troubleshooting software and hardware integration issues while helping improve overall system performance.
- Contributing to technical documentation and software release activities.
We're looking for engineers with experience in most of the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong programming experience using Python and C++.
- Hands‑on experience developing applications with ROS
2. - Experience integrating sensors, embedded hardware, and robotic devices.
- Experience working with CAN Bus communication.
- Experience developing software for embedded computing platforms.
- Strong Linux development experience.
- Experience using Git for source control.
- Familiarity with software testing, debugging, and code review best practices.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
