Senior AI Agent Engineer

We are hiring for a Senior AI Agent Engineer with a leading enterprise client in Charlotte.
This role sits inside a Digital Transformation team and focuses on designing and building advanced agentic AI solutions. If you are deep in AWS Bedrock, LLMs, and agent frameworks this is worth a look.
What You Will Do- Design and implement agentic AI solutions using AWS Bedrock, Agents, Knowledge Bases, and Guardrails
- Build serverless architectures with Lambda, Step Functions, and Event Bridge
- Engineer sophisticated prompts using chain of thought, tree of thought, and ReAct strategies
- Build evaluation frameworks for agent performance, reliability, and safety
- Collaborate with ML engineers using Lang Chain and Bedrock Agent Core
- Mentor prompt engineers and provide technical guidance to leadership
- 3+ years in prompt engineering or AI/ML; 5 to 9 years in software development
- Strong hands on experience with AWS Bedrock, Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, and S3
- Proficiency in Python, Lang Chain, and AI agent frameworks
- Deep understanding of LLMs, agentic frameworks, and NLP
- Experience with Terraform, CI/CD, and AWS security including IAM, KMS, and VPC
- Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field, or 8+ years equivalent experience
