Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $90k - $100k/year & benefits (see below).

The

Role Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright.
Create and execute automated test scripts for web applications, APIs, and end-to-end business workflows.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to define testing strategies and quality standards.
Develop data-driven, reusable, and maintainable automation solutions following best practices.
Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, Azure Dev Ops, or Git Lab.
Develop API automation tests using Playwright, REST Assured, Postman, or similar tools.
Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
Monitor automation execution, reporting, and test coverage metrics to improve software quality.
Support release validation, production testing, and continuous quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:

5+ years of Quality Engineering or Test Automation experience with at least 3+ years of hands-on Playwright automation experience.
Hands-on experience building automation frameworks using Playwright.
Experience with API testing and automation using REST APIs, Postman, or similar tools.
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and Agile development practices.
Experience with version control systems such as Git and repository management tools.
Hands-on experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of test reporting, logging, and automation monitoring tools.
Experience working with databases and writing SQL queries for test validation.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred, but not required:

Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or Load Runner.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Exposure to containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with accessibility, security, and performance testing practices.
Financial Services, Banking, or Capital Markets domain experience.
ISTQB, Certified Agile Tester, or other relevant QA certifications.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and enterprise-scale delivery environments.
