Front Office Automation Engineer

This is a 12-month contract role for a Front Office Automation Engineer based in Charlotte, North Carolina. You will apply software development expertise to automate and enhance fixed income capital markets operations, with a focus on trade processing, validation, and front-office workflows.

• Develop and maintain automation solutions for front-office trading systems and processes
• Implement trade validation rules and business logic within fixed income workflows
• Design and optimize deal ticket structures and trade processing pipelines
  
  Collaborate with trading and sales teams to understand and automate key operational workflows
• Support the development of tools and systems that enhance fixed income trading operations

• Required
  • Strong software development experience in Python or Java
  • Recent hands-on experience in fixed income capital markets
  • Expertise with interest rate swaps (IRS)
  • Expertise with caps and floors
  • Expertise with swaptions
  • Expertise with basis swaps
  • Expertise with cross-currency swaps
  • Expertise with inflation swaps
  • Expertise with OTC fixed income derivatives
  • Strong understanding of trade and deal ticket structures
  • Strong understanding of business validation rules
  • Strong understanding of fixed income sales and trading workflows
  • Strong understanding of front-office trading systems and processes
