QA Automation Engineer

We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer with 6+ years of experience in software testing and strong hands-on expertise in Playwright automation. The candidate should have experience in designing and developing scalable automation frameworks, API testing, regression testing, and working closely with development and business teams in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust UI automation frameworks using Playwright.
  • Create and maintain automated test scripts for web applications.
  • Develop reusable automation components and follow automation best practices.
  • Execute functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing.
  • Identify, analyze, and report defects and work closely with developers for resolution.
  • Perform API testing and validate backend services.
  • Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Analyze test execution results and troubleshoot automation failures.
  • Participate in requirement analysis, test planning, and test case reviews.
  • Perform cross-browser testing and ensure application compatibility.
  • Maintain test documentation, automation reports, and test metrics.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to improving automation practices.
Required Skills
  • 6+ years of experience in Software Testing / QA Automation.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Playwright.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript/Type Script.
  • Strong understanding of Web UI automation and testing frameworks.
  • Experience in developing automation frameworks from scratch or enhancing existing frameworks.
  • Good knowledge of API testing using tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
  • Experience with Git and source code management.
  • Hands-on experience with Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, Azure Dev Ops, or similar CI/CD tools.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect lifecycle, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Good understanding of HTML, CSS, DOM, XPath, and web application architecture.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
