Python Software Engineer - Hybrid

10 is currently seeking a Python Software Engineer - Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX or Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

As part of an Agile team, the Software Engineer will perform design, coding, debugging, and testing to build sophisticated functionality for the Treasury business. This role demands a high degree of initiative, commitment, and technical excellence to provide innovative solutions in a collaborative manner under tight deadlines. The position requires a strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and a desire to implement continuous delivery and integration.

Responsibilities:

• Perform design, coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the application development process
• Build sophisticated and complex functionality for the Treasury business to be more effective in managing the bank's liquidity
• Work with business users involving complex requirements gathering and translating them into actionable items for developers, including quick prototyping
• Maintain high standards and follow best practices by re-factoring existing code to enhance readability, performance, and general structure
• Clearly communicate design, architecture, implementations, and requirements

Requirements:

• Strong expertise and working experience in Python
• Knowledge of computer science data structures and algorithms
• Knowledge of ORM libraries like SQL Alchemy
• Experience in databases (relational/document/etc) including No
  
  SQL databases
• Experience building distributed and scalable complex services, Restful services, and robust microservices
• Experience with web services development and REST interfaces in Python
• Experience with Analytic reporting tools like Tableau
• Analytical skills to perform technical and functional analysis with strong communication skills

Desired skills:

• Experience working in regulatory projects is strongly desirable
• Experience working in Containers
• Experience in CI/CD, Jenkins, Git
• Experience working on high-volume applications
• Experience working in Agile teams
• Knowledge of Liquidity Reports like Fed5g, LCR, NSFR, CRD IV etc is a plus

Pay range: $55.07 - $63.07 per hour
