We are seeking a highly skilled Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) with a strong Java engineering background and hands‑on experience leveraging Devin AI and AI‑powered software development workflows
. This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, customer success, solution architecture, and AI‑driven development.

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will work directly with enterprise clients to understand business challenges, design scalable technical solutions, deploy AI‑assisted applications, and accelerate software delivery through agentic AI frameworks such as Devin. You will act as a trusted technical advisor and bridge the gap between customer requirements and engineering execution.

The ideal candidate is an experienced Developer who can architect enterprise solutions, work closely with stakeholders, and utilize advanced AI coding agents to improve productivity, automate workflows, and deliver impactful business outcomes.

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC/Irving, TX is $135k - $145k/year & benefits (see below).

• Partner directly with client stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams to understand business requirements and technical challenges.
• Design and implement client-specific solutions using Java-based technologies and AI‑powered development tools.
• Translate business needs into scalable technical architectures and deployment strategies.
• Act as a trusted advisor, providing technical recommendations and solution roadmaps.

• Utilize Devin AI and other AI engineering agents to automate software development tasks.
• Fine‑tune AI‑assisted workflows for coding, debugging, testing, documentation, and deployment activities.
• Evaluate and optimize AI‑generated code for scalability, maintainability, and security.
• Implement AI‑driven engineering best practices across software delivery lifecycle.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to improve AI‑assisted development capabilities.
