We are seeking a Senior Java Developer / Solution Architect to design, develop, and modernize enterprise-scale collaboration, productivity, and real-time communication applications. This role will play a key part in a strategic migration from .NET to Java microservices architecture while building scalable, secure, and high-availability solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, SQL Server, microservices, enterprise application architecture, and API integrations, along with strong communication skills and the ability to lead technical initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications supporting collaboration, productivity, and real-time communication systems.
  • Lead the migration of existing .NET/C# applications to modern Java-based microservices architectures.
  • Design and develop scalable RESTful APIs and backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies.
  • Build and maintain high-performance microservices with native load balancing capabilities.
  • Develop and optimize complex SQL Server database solutions, queries, stored procedures, and integrations.
  • Create automated provisioning applications and workflow solutions for enterprise environments.
  • Produce detailed technical designs, architecture documentation, and implementation plans.
  • Design and implement secure, highly available, and fault-tolerant enterprise solutions.
  • Integrate applications with vendor APIs, middleware platforms, and communication systems using OAuth and other authentication mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, operational teams, vendors, and technology organizations to define and deliver technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex application, infrastructure, database, and integration issues.
  • Support all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Implement and maintain application security standards, controls, and governance processes.
  • Participate in code reviews and promote software engineering best practices.
  • Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as Git Hub Copilot to improve productivity and code quality.
  • Support Linux-based environments and perform basic system administration and troubleshooting tasks.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, automation efforts, and modernization programs.
  • Ensure seamless integration with voice technologies, middleware platforms, contact center systems, and enterprise communication solutions.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of software development experience within financial services, technology, or enterprise environments.
  • Strong expertise in Java 11+;
    Java 17+ preferred.
  • Extensive experience with Java/J2EE development and architecture.
  • Strong experience with Spring Boot and enterprise application development.
  • Experience designing and implementing microservices architectures.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and enterprise application frameworks.
  • Experience throughout the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experience designing secure, scalable, distributed, and high-availability applications.
  • Knowledge of application security, multi-threaded programming, and enterprise system integration.
  • Experience working in Linux environments and performing basic operational tasks.
  • Experience using Git Hub Copilot or similar AI-assisted development tools.
  • Experience integrating with vendor APIs using OAuth authentication.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with .NET and C# development.
  • Experience supporting enterprise migration projects from .NET to Java.
  • Experience with Unified Communications platforms and Middleware Communication platforms.
  • Knowledge of distributed systems and enterprise integration architectures.
  • Experience with CTI APIs, including TSAPI, JTAPI, Lync UCWA, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with AngularJS, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, jQuery, and front-end development.
  • Experience with JUnit and automated testing frameworks.
  • Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD automation pipelines.
  • Experience with Power Platform solutions.
